FIFTH.  The objectives of the foundation shall be specifically research, extension, development, promotion, integration, and publication of the indigenous culture of Costa Rica as related to worldwide aboriginal culture in order to strengthen the relationship between these indigenous communities on account of which the following is to be pursued: 
A) Promote the social, economic, and cultural improvement of the indigenous population seeking an improvement in their standards of living and the inclusion into the development process. 
B)  Promote scientific research on the ways of life of indigenous groups in order to have a solid base to structure the programs aimed for their wellbeing. 
C)  Encourage publication of indigenous affairs aiming public concern about these matters and promote public interest for the study of their culture.
D)  Protect indigenous minorities’ rights by encouraging governmental actions to guarantee individual and collective property rights for the natives as well as the rational and sustainable use of the land in keeping the environment. 
E) Organize agricultural cooperatives within the distinctive indigenous communities: by providing efficient farming education and technical assistance as well as the financial means for this. 
Generally and keeping the specific objectives, the foundation shall have as basic purpose:  Environmental and natural resources conservation, appropriate disposal and treatment of waste with the purpose to conserve the environment and promote hygiene and public health by the development of all aspects of sustainable agriculture and designing, maintaining and making public awareness, in rural areas and nationwide in general, of the importance of showing respect toward the ecosystem in connection with agricultural practices and to conserve the biodiversity, stability and resistance of the natural ecosystems. Include rural and national communities, schools, universities and families into programs for conservation of ecosystems as well as to provide the education and technology needed for the production of energy from diverse sources: food, biodegradable products, and waste treatment plants with absolute respect toward the environment, its protection and conservation.  To create new alternatives for the production of energy, construction materials, protect the forests, teach the importance of the conservation of natural resources and protect the health and hygiene of the whole country.  Reduce energy waste: to facilitate natural process for biological and non-biological hazardous materials.  Put into practice existing programs for alternative energy sources; like solar energy plants, hydroelectric power plants, and wind power plants, analyze and study the introduction of geothermal energy projects for housing in general adapted to the environment by means of methane production; carry on scientific projects on soil research, its composition and improvement; furthermore, projects for health improvement, research on medicinal plants and its repercussions as well as on the distribution and production of medicinal herbs; likewise, research and development of plant resources, their production without chemicals and everything related to this matter; also, research and development of resources from animals: model farms, raising sheep, artificial insemination, fish farms and details for their development, culture and production, how to process and preserve foods in a natural fashion, the construction of buildings and shelters using eco-friendly materials; recycling and teaching self support systems of living. With respect to trash and disposal of waste materials: the establishment of specialized systems for its processing and preservation of the environment using specialized equipments; the establishment of agricultural communities, small orchards, gardens, community security services, help to fight unemployment. ........ Preserve dry forests and rain forests as well --besides the help for the education, teaching, and all matters of concerns of the population and minors in social danger; to establish for them and the community all of the above.  Promote seminars, conferences, meetings, publications, music, art, theater, videos, literature, multimedia, radio, and the media to reach its objectives.  Implement sustainable development management, recovery and protection plans.  Hire and invite specialized professionals from all over the world to teach and do the training necessary for the projects to be carry on in partnership with national or foreign universities, public or private institutions; as well as the establishment of educational institutions to support the foundation in its objectives achievement.  Processing.
